A timeline of service

YMCA Alumni’s National Service Project is a major undertaking on so many fronts. It was created with a great deal of thought and planning by representatives from all chapters. We wanted it to be an attainable reach, but a reach nonetheless.

Please take a few moments to read the report below on how the project was developed from when we began in 2020 to where we are today.

A current status report

All four of the tiny homes in our emerging Morning Star Community are up and on the final lap to completion.  The shell of our fourth tiny home became a reality in September by raising the walls, installing the roof beam, placing the roof panels, installing windows, building the front deck and porch roof, installing the plywood sub-flooring inside, and wrapping the home with cement board siding.

We need to finish the interiors, including plumbing, electricity, sheetrock, kitchen, bathroom, appliances, and furnishings.

Planning for the YMCA Twig program centers is underway.
